I thought I had a good handle on these characters after Say Goodbye, but this sequel proved me wrong, everyone has more layers than I expected. The villain in this book gave me chills; their motivations were disturbingly realistic. There were moments where my heart was genuinely pounding because I was so invested in what would happen next. I loved how fate plays such a strong role in the story, some things feel inevitable, but you still hope they wont happen.

This book had me hooked from the start. Nancy is such a compelling character with her mix of grit and vulnerability. I loved how the book dives deep into the stakes of family and sacrifice while still delivering edge-of-your-seat intrigue. The soundtrack concept is such a cool addition; it made the whole experience more immersive. Some plot points felt a bit rushed, but the emotional depth and tension more than made up for it.
