Musical fiction at its best

‘Say Goodbye’ is the first book in a planned trilogy following six going on seven year old ‘Lee Walker’. A mischievous sort, Lee discovers his mother’s infidelity leading to a devastating series of events that see his family tear apart and the young boy cast aside. Having decided to runaway, Lee’s adventure eventually takes him to France, where he must rely on his survival instincts to stay alive. His journey takes a twist when he has an unexpected encounter in the strange world of KGB operatives, secret underworlds, and MI6... with which he has a extraordinary connection.

If you enjoy Ian Rankin or David Baldacci, you'll love this!

This action-packed and hard-hitting limited first-edition book was conceived and produced alongside an album of music. Listen to the songs, and let your subconscious slip into the mind of the author and Lee Walker’s world of pain and relief. The songs set the mood for the narrative and in essence, it is the soundtrack of Lee Walker's life and the first episode in the 'Walker-Powell Series.'

‘Say Goodbye’ is a hardcover 300-page fictional novel, beautifully bound and printed on exceptionally high-quality paper. You'll find the CD album and individual download card inside the front cover.

Only 500 individually numbered first editions of this CD-enhanced book will be available worldwide!

It is a much different book! I don't want to spoil anything because reading it is how you start getting surprised by some of the twists and creative writing but if you are into the genre, I recommend it.

Skeptical but intrigued

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about the whole concept of a book combined with a musical album. How would that even work? But after reading "Say Goodbye," I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The story was engaging and the characters were well-developed. The idea of listening to the album while reading definitely added a unique element to the experience. Overall, I enjoyed the book more than I thought I would. If you're looking for something a little different, give it a shot.

such a new concept

Say Goodbye is this raw, deeply layered family thriller that somehow feels both cinematic and personal. Set in gritty 1970s England, it throws you into the chaos of broken relationships, deception, and emotional survivalbut what really surprised me was how much heart it has. Lees perspective, especially as a child navigating betrayal and abuse, was gut-wrenching at times. I actually had to pause a couple moments just to feel it all.

This was a super interesting project. I enjoyed the family/psychological thriller aspect and having an album written for the book to listen to as I read it was a new experience for me. Definitely worth experiencing if you are a fan of the genre, and makes me hope that other authors try some similar things to make books like these feel more immersive. Highly recommend trying this out, and you need to listen along with the soundtrack for the full experience.
